Sleep News This Week, Jan 29 - Feb 4

SPECIAL  || Recalls, special announcements, breaking news, events

Sleep organization seeks young filmmakers for their 2016 "Sleep Story" Video Contest. The American Sleep Medicine Foundation has issued a nationwide creative challenge to high-school-aged filmmakers: Tell a sleep story to help us shine a light on the effects of sleep problems. The prize is $500 for the filmmaker and an additional $500 for the winner's school.

All entries will be judged by a panel of sleep medicine physicians and researchers looking for appropriateness of message, relevance of the message to sleep problems today, originality, accuracy of the message content and the overall quality of the video. The best videos will be used to educate the public about sleep. Winning videos should be between 30 seconds and two minutes long and should highlight the importance of sleep.

Deadline for contest entry submission upload is 11:59 p.m. CST on February 29, 2016.  More info
